At the beginning of 1840s Elias Ekblom, a watchmaker by profession, had the pink hotel building in the middle of the poster built in the corner of Kauppiaskatu and Läntinen Rantakatu. The hotel and the restaurant were known as the Hotel du Nord at the time. The building was the centre of local social life for some time, because E. Ekblom had decorated a flat in the hotel for weekly dance nights for the bourgeoisie and craftsmen. After the gruesome fire of the Turku the city was built again following the demands of Empire style. The impressive Empire building got its pink colour since pink was one of the most fashionable colours of that time in buildings, furniture and even in clothes. The building was renovated in 2011 and today it hosts a wine restaurant named after Ekblom himself.
Joyful summery pink was also used at the end of 1800s in the villas and swim houses of Ruissalo by the sea. There is hardly anyone who has not been admiring the pink swim house by the Ruissalo beach road where it is also visible to the boats sailing by. The pink swim house in the bottom corner on the right has found its way to thousands of photos taken in Ruissalo. The ‘Few People’s House’ by the Old Wooden Market Place in the upper corner on the right is famous for its attractive tower. In the beginning the building designed by architect J. Eskil Hindersson was the home of the Turku Co-Op office and shop. The building was constructed in 1907 and was white in colour for many decades in between. The building was repainted light pink during the renovation of the building and the tower in the 1980s.
Pink became fashionable again in buildings especially in the happy 1920s. The grand Asunto Oy Itälä Stone house in the corner of Kaivokatu and Itäinen Pitkäkatu is a good example of this trend. This building was designed by architect J.E. Arola in 1928. Gentle pink has been popular in the wooden houses of Turku for a long time. Wooden houses in pink can be found in Martti, Port Arthur, Pohjola and also in many other suburbs. Someone driving from Helsinki to Turku cannot miss the pink Posankka sculpture made by artist Alvar Gullichsen in 1999. The massive sculpture can be found along the motorway in front of the Caribia Hotel which was repainted pink in the very same year. City of Turku, Finland, 800 years in 2029.

Right of withdrawal
You have the right to cancel this agreement within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period ends within 14 days starting from the day you received the last shipment, or in the case of downloadable products, from the moment you received the order.
In order to exercise the right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision to cancel the agreement in an unambiguous way (for example, by mail or by email). You can also use our printable return form, but its use is not mandatory.
To comply with the deadline for withdrawal, it is sufficient that you submit your notice of cancellation before the end of the withdrawal period.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
You must return the goods without delay and no later than 14 days after informing us about your decision to withdraw from the contract. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.
You are only responsible for the kind of value decrease of the goods that did not result from treatment that is required for determining the nature, properties and functionality of the goods.

Ongelmatilanteet
Mikäli tuote on kadonnut tai vioittunut kuljetuksen aikana tai se ei muuten vastaa tilaustasi, tulee sinun ilmoittaa virheestä viimeistään 14 päivän kuluessa kirjallisesti Peruutusoikeus ja palautusehdot -kohdassa mainittuun osoitteeseen tai soittamalla yhteystiedoissa mainittuun puhelinnumeroon. Jos paketti on selvästi vaurioitunut kuljetuksessa, teidän täytyy tehdä välittömästi asiasta reklamaatio valitsemanne toimitustavan kuljetusyhtiölle.
