Brick was used as a building material as early as the Middle Ages. A good example of this is the Turku Cathedral, the clock tower of which is in the picture in the bottom row. Brick was popular also a hundred years ago and there are several splendid brick buildings in Turku from that time period. In the upper left corner there is the Church of Michael, designed by Lars Sonck and built in 1899-1905. The national Romantic style church with round towers looks like a fairy tale castle. Up in the middle is the popular Turku Market Hall, designed by architect Gustaf Nyström and built in 1896. Nyström also designed the Turku Art Museum. In the upper corner on the right you can find the over 100-year-old former railway maintenance halls which were turned into a cultural performance location, Logomo, in 2011, when Turku was the main stage of the European Cultural Year.
The picture in the centre represents the old former district prison from 1890, which was functional until 2007 on the famous Kakolanmäki, one of the seven hills of central Turku. The prison church is on the right in the poster. The bottom right corner shows the Renaissance style Turku City Library from 1903. It was donated to the city by tobacco manufacturer and commercial patron, Fredric von Rettig and the shape of it resembles that of the Stockholm Knight Building. At that time, red brick walls with large windows were a common sight in industrial buildings. There are good examples of this trend in Itäinen Rantakatu: the old industrial assembly hall of the Wärtsilä Turku Dock Yard, the 2nd picture on the right at the bottom. Another example is the tower of an old factory building in the corner of Tehtaankatu and Jokikatu located by the Aurajoki River, in the bottom corner on the left. Nowadays the tower is part of the Arken block owned by Åbo Academi.
Another spectacular brick building is the Turku fire station from 1916 on the left in the middle. The youngest building in the poster is in the bottom row second on the left. This former redbrick girls’ school next to Samppalinna Hill was built in 1926, which was the same year when a new partially redbrick apartment house was built at Kauppiaskatu 20. The mother and child statue in the poster corner on the right is placed in the niche of the wall of this building. City of Turku, Finland, 800 years in 2029.

Palautusehdot
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to cancel this agreement within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period ends within 14 days starting from the day you received the last shipment, or in the case of downloadable products, from the moment you received the order.
In order to exercise the right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision to cancel the agreement in an unambiguous way (for example, by mail or by email). You can also use our printable return form, but its use is not mandatory.
To comply with the deadline for withdrawal, it is sufficient that you submit your notice of cancellation before the end of the withdrawal period.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
You must return the goods without delay and no later than 14 days after informing us about your decision to withdraw from the contract. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.
You are only responsible for the kind of value decrease of the goods that did not result from treatment that is required for determining the nature, properties and functionality of the goods.

Mikäli tuote on kadonnut tai vioittunut kuljetuksen aikana tai se ei muuten vastaa tilaustasi, tulee sinun ilmoittaa virheestä viimeistään 14 päivän kuluessa kirjallisesti Peruutusoikeus ja palautusehdot -kohdassa mainittuun osoitteeseen tai soittamalla yhteystiedoissa mainittuun puhelinnumeroon. Jos paketti on selvästi vaurioitunut kuljetuksessa, teidän täytyy tehdä välittömästi asiasta reklamaatio valitsemanne toimitustavan kuljetusyhtiölle.
